This is turning into a listening to blog.

Well, I am not all great at being a web master or lore master of my home state's bands. So instead I write about what I am listening to. No downloads available. I believe in buying hard copy music from the labels or the bands. IF you want to download it from somewhere else go right ahead at least go out and see them if they are still a band and support them or in other ways. I'm not going to get into a long winded debate. So here's what I am listening to.

Acephalix - Interminable Night LP (Agipunk / Southern Lord), 2011.

The already rare demo's on vinyl. Death Metal or Crust, which ever it's a breath of fresh air after then all the Blackened/Epic material that's been floating around. Acephalix's sound is unique touch of darkness that gives a nod to the early Earache sound: Morgoth, Carnage, a light touch of Bolt Thrower with a dash of early Unleashed. Over all shorter solos with down-tuned crisp distortion with pulverizing thunder developing a intoxicating fury.

The first side their newest demo Flesh Torn In Twilight demo while the second side is the 2010 Interminable Night demo. Both were recorded by Jeff Leppard at Lennon Studios in San Fransisco. I can't tell if they were recorded at different sessions with my ears bleeding so damn much.

The collapse of civilization is here and Acephalix is the stinging concussion from the failed scheme.
