Rant #3

“Prejudices are what fools use for reason.”
― Voltaire

Nationality has risen to near disgusting levels within our minds that spans the globe. What we do is based on our jobs and who we are is based on our work. At least this is the general mindset with in the boundary of this country deemed itself "United". Many within my generation have called the current feeling a great awakening, a change in the way we think, act and view ourselves in the world rather then groups of people separated by boundaries, faith and economics. We are one species more then separate groups. There maybe a twinkle of that there but there is a long way to go before that idea maybe truth. Living in a group of people that are incredibly self-important and self-satisfied, though I have more sympathy for those how are always struggling to survive and are actively becoming more sufficient in swaying general thought on the lifestyle of simplicity. To humble ourselves to live more simple would better our world as a whole but are people willing to step down from the throne of instant gratification and the pedestal of luxury?
